Flooding on Britton Tract Access Road
The flooding across the Britton tract access road is being looked into by Halton Region.
Last we checked you could cycle through the puddle, but no way you’re walking through with dry feet unless you’ve got rubber boots on. This feels like a throwback to the ol’ days before the water management went in – Sometimes the rainwater could surge to over waist/top-tube height.
Anyhow, the resolution may take a few weeks since the beaver that has caused the problem needs to be apprehended (live catch/release) and unplugging the blockage is tricky (there is now a lot of hydraulic pressure).
Until then please stay on trail, there is no easy, secret, dry way around the flooding waiting for you off in the bush.
Thanks for your patience,
