Angry Ted (and possibly Island Run) improvements
10am start at the corner of fourth and ten.
Reason: Improve accessibility of Angry Ted so more riders can help it fulfil its destiny as a bypass for marshy double-track section (which is no longer being maintained).
Mode: Improvements will consist of adjusting areas of trail where b-lines are not appropriate.
If the group is too large we will send a new party to Island Run for boardwalk work so that our worksites do not become crowded.
HAFTA will respect provincial guidelines on outdoor gatherings and to further reduce the risk of COVID spreading at our event we are recommending that only those people who are +14 days of their second COVID vaccine dose consider attending. Face masks will be required during registration process, briefing and other times when distances of 2m cannot be maintained. As such you will have to keep your mask immediately accessible for the duration of this event. While lining up to register remember to remain 2m apart. Despite all this, there is still a risk of exposure. We are legally required to notify you of this problem and maintain a contact list. By attending you agree to the potential release of your contact information to public health officials.
All attendees must get a green checkmark from the online screening questions: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/screening/customer/
Please do not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms or are currently being directed by a public heath official to self-isolate.
We reserve the right to turn away volunteers that we feel are disrespecting COVID protocols.
Sounds like a lot of rules, but our hope is we never have to start phoning people or worse because of a trail build.
Further other details TBA.
